Hi everyone,

My wife and I applied for a re-entry permit and have our biometrics taken. We came back to the Netherlands (Europe) a week ago and now the USCIS sent us an appointment letter for the biometrics for the re-entry permit application of our 6 year old son. The letter says he has to go the ASC office the 2th of june 2009. We don't understand this because the instructions of form I 131 are very clear; only persons age 14 to 79 have to give their biometrics for the re-entry permit. I called the custom service number of the USCIS but they were not very helpfull. They just said we have to come back to the States again to go to the ASC appointment. Does somebody has an advice for us? Since the instructions are clear, why should our 6 year old has to give his biometrics anyways?

I hope somebody can help or advise us or has been in the same position.

Sincerely,

Aggi

I don't know about the I-131 but children have to do a thumb print and have a computer photo taken for the GC when doing AOS.

At least my 8 year old daughter was required to do so when adjusting status for a K4.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
