I was wondering which box we need to check in I-485 Part 2. My wife is here with me, she came over as a visitor with inspection, but not signing the book. We were not engaged so there is not a K1 visa, so I know it's not 'C'. No asylum so not 'D'. Not Cuban so not 'E' or 'F', and not 'G'. We have not been approved anything yet, so I also assume not 'A'. Now, that leaves 'B' and 'H'. Does the spouse application of adjustment of status refer to a immigrant spouse? I am a citizen, so would this be incorrect? If so, that leaves 'G', other basis. What would that basis be? thanks

thanks. it's like the old days at church. If you don't know the language, it's hard to read. They word these things like a puzzle...intentionally, I bet

can be, just delete the words between "immediate relative" and "visa petition" and it reads easier

YMMV
