When is your filing period? :time:

A lot of people in this forum started collecting evidence right after their green card or welcome letter arrives.

I filled out my form early but didn't sign until the day before it's sent.

AOS

09-29-06 : File date

10-02-06 : NOA

10-26-06 : Biometrics appointment

06-28-07 : Interview Date <== Approved Yippee!!!

07-10-07 : Card rcv'd

I-751

04-14-09 : Mail date

04-16-09 : Mail rcv'd

04-17-09 : NOA date

04-29-09 : Check cashed!!!

05-02-09 : NOA arrived

05-26-09 : Biometrics done

09-04-09 : Approval letter arrived!!!

I have time line. I-751 isn't ready to mail until July 3, 2009. Thanks for the tips. I would just prefer necessary documents then sign them later.

You can save the form right from USCIS' website, and pre-fill it. I would not recommend putting a date on anything until the first day you are eligible to submit. Until then, which sounds like July, you can start the process of gathering your additional evidence.

It is never to early to dig out everything you need! Good luck!

We were hoping to send off our I-751 the first day we could, but procrastination and a grotesquely slow life insurance company delayed us about a week. Ah well!

Just make sure you check, the day you mail out the package, that the correct form is being used. Fill it out whenever you like but as it takes all of 5 minutes to do it you might as well wait. It was the last thing I did.

Don't mail earlier than 90 days before GC expiration or they will send everything back.

Don't mail later than 2 weeks before expiration as you will out of status and subject to deportation if they RECEIVE it one day late.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
