Ok... so I decided to call the USCIS for the first time to check on the status of the petition versus the internet. I called the 18003755283 number to see what I can find out... and it asked for me to enter in my receipt number. This might be a silly question, but my receipt number starts with a WAC.... how do I find out the info? I tried just entering the 10 digit numbers, but it said that it wasn't enough digits. Am I missing something?

I was actually just curious how the process worked via phone. Checking to see if it gives the same response as if I checked it online. just for.. if I were curious and couldn't get to a computer, I could always check it out over the phone (since I check the status everyday.) It's more or less preparing myself for once everything is rolling.

The misinfromation line has been automated?

My case is still listed as "received and pending" and my wife has been here for 8 months. While you are on the phone, see if they can update my case to.
