Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys would like to share how you met and all that?!

I met my now-hubby while he was stationed in Germany over a friend of mine. And surprisingly we fell in love immediately. Our first date lasted three days....*lol*....hey dont assume the wrong thing  we just talked and all that. We met last year, three months before he had to leave Germany again.

Well my Lovely guy of course didnt tell me that he had to leave that soon. He did when I asked for. Great....well I was mad but I also understood. And after one month spending every day together he asked me if I would come with him to america. Wow I was surprised and it took me almost two weeks to decide that I come with him to the states. He proposed on new years eve at Midnight while the firework was going on  . Then we spend two nice weeks in Italy and married right after that vacation. Unfortunately he had to leave one day after the wedding. But we will have the Ceremonial wedding with family and all that in the states and when we have the money for it.

In French langage class when I was eleven years old, we had to have a penpal and I was supposed to pick a French one. I didn't want a French one and picked an American instead. My wife got Extra Credit for having a penpal. We were randomly matched up via the penpal computer at 11, first met at 15, various visits followed. Proposed in Brussels aged 26 Married at 27, divorcing at 29.

It was a cute story whilst it lasted. Everyone used to love it.

Last year on July 10th, 2005, I was chatting with my friends online (Riza and Insik). We were using a webcam through Yahoo Msgr and they had a friend of theirs with them, Jinky. She was wearing a baseball cap and very unassuming. I was cordial and talked to her. I was surprised to find out she was a dentist - she just didn't 'look' like one...hehehe. So we started talking about teeth - we both have gaps between our front teeth. The conversation lasted about 30 minutes and then I never really thought much about it after that (I was already in a relationship at the time and wasn't looking).

Anyhow, in October after ending my other relationship, I was looking at Riza's Friendster account and saw Jinky's profile there. I recognized the uncommon name and looked into her profile. I had no idea before that she had a son, but her profile showed her to be single. I decided to message her and say 'hello' to see if she remembered me. When my friends got a wind that I contacted Jinky and that we started to meet online, they revealed to me that they had always thought Jinky and I are so much alike, personality wise. She was so bubbly and always cracking jokes. After about a month I confessed to her that I'm falling in love with her to which she confessed happened to her after the first week...hehehe.

When I began to tell my friends and family, I had to explain, defend, justify how two people could possible be in love if they've never met in person. I understood their concerns but when it came down to it, they had to accept and trust my judgment. When we finally met in person, she was the same person I had gotten to know on the phone and through chat. She doesn't put on any false pretenses - she's just herself and that's one of the reasons I fell in love with her. She's what she calls bugoy (Bisaya) - unashamed to just be, even if she looks like a fool - smiling wide and laughing uncontrollably. One of the greatest parts of our relationship is when we have a conflict, many times we'll later laugh about it. Lots of laughter together which is what I know will keep us strong no matter what challenges we face in a lifetime. :jest:

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
