Actually this is believable, in cases were US and foreign country do not have relationships, this causes things like name checks to take longer, USCIS has to prioritize these things.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

With USCIS being government I believe your USCIS rep over the one I spoke to yesterday... The following is from what I posted under January 2009 filers for Vermont yesterday:

"Okay, so I just called USCIS. I got a gentleman who was actually very nice. So, I told him my concerns about how I filed in January and know of several people who have got their approvals who filed after me. And this concerned me and I want to make sure they still have my petition and it was not lost. He told me they are just now processing Octobers petitions and would be awhile before Januarys would be processed. He then questioned what I told him about knowing of people who got approved who filed after me. I told him about VJ, as Im sure he is aware of the site working for USCIS, and how we post when we file and when we get approvals so this is how I know about the late january filer approvals. He then said that the petitions go through a series of checks and some peoples checks come back faster than others and this could explain why they are approved already. Did this help me any? Nope. Just hate sitting around waiting, waiting, waiting so I figured I would call and get the run around. At least it killed some time."

You would think they would get their stories straight... Wonder what they are telling people today?

Thanks you so much for that information. The very best on a speedy process for you and yours. I guess then from the laws and such, an applicant from a friendly country with the USA probably will be processed first. I am sure it is difficult to get cooperation between some governments that do not trust each other on even doing background checks. I hope your request goes well. Many many blessings.

Makes me wonder about the nationality or the current location of the applicant.

Who knows which story is correct... Nick is a UK citizen and we haven't been approved... not even a touch... I'm going to stick with my fast workers and slow workers theory and Nick and I are such lucky individuals that we got stuck with a slow worker.

I seen according to your timeline that your case was lost. That is what scares me. This seems to happen quite often and they are not trying to do nothing to correct this.

To us that are applying for a K1 visa it seems unfair just because the USA and the country from the applicant's home land are not under good relations. I ran across a PDF file about treaties and working within the borders of the USA.

http://www.bakernet.com/NR/rdonlyres/94B48...manual_2009.pdf

After reading a few things in the document I think I see there is a security risk involved in letting people in. Those of us that would rather make love than war the policies are in our way. Maybe the policies will also get in the way in those to like to make war and harm us. We shall get through this.

Most of the time it is a make-it-up-as-you-go-along approach . Who can believe anything USCIS says?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
