I'm just looking at all my wife's documents...

Question, the date format of India is Day/Month/Year compared to US formatting which is Month/Day/Year, is that an issue?

I hope not.. :wacko:

same here dude....NVC knows that dd-mm-yyyy is the date formate in india.

Just make sure that on form DS-230 , all the dates are in mm-dd-yyyy formate.

So, after reading some of the posts in here and what not...I'm guessing that what happened to me is an "RFE"? Basically, I was told that NVC needs additional info from me and that I'd be getting a letter from them in about a month...this before I can even pay the fees or send anything in....so, am I unfortunately correct? Is this normal to happen so soon? Would have expected it to happen later on down the road... :(

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

That's Weird,

I haven't got anything from NVC beside letter saying that they received my case and now send DS3032 to process my case. Also another email saying to complete i-864.

Have you sign up to receive stuff by email? it will be much faster. Tell them to email you the RFE letter.

Just keep all the docs ready for i -864 and Ds-230, including PCC, so they don't need to send you any RFE.

Call them and talked to different operator, see what they say. Also don't trust what one operator says, the y have misguided me once.

Their system is jacked up, that message has a bit of delay, and in the February thread we refer to it as false RFE

Same thing happened to me and lots of other February VJers, don't sweat it.

My case is pretty much complete (log in failed), and the message still says they're missing DS-230 :lol:

12/05/11.......................Filed I-751

12/06/11.......................NOA

01/03/12......................BIO

09/10/12..................... Approved

09/21/12..................... Received GC

happened to me, it will soon changed to they received the checklist they sent out blah blah.

they send out RFE for the DS230 every week from the time you pay until they receive it

i got case complete as of June 23.

I also got the check list for a missing DS230 document, however I still haven't sent in the package with the DS230 (waiting on few documents).

Do I have to send in the missing document checklist page??

i whould recomand to sent your Ds-230 to document cover sheet you printed from NVC payment website.....
