we decided to stay in near batavia illinois. I hope i can meet a filipino in the area..Can you please advise me how to meet friends in this area? I'm quite worried.. :wacko:

when you have decided to leave your home country and settle in the new country, deal with the new things in your life (friends, food, language, or culture). You may find it difficult for the first time but move on....Good luck.

I'm sure you'll have no problems meeting many new Filipinas there.

You might check out Manila Grocery in Plainfield, not too far southeast of you. They've got lots of good stuff!!

you can meet pinoy anywhere,so don't worry about it..............

anyway if you think his/her personality is looks like pinoy ask them..................and if they were, talk to them.........and make friends.........

but be prepared,because life here is much much more different in the philippines............ i know u gonna used to it soon.......

We are two hours west of Bativia along I80. I use to shoot FITA archery events in Bativia next to the Fox River. Very nice place.

There is a Fil store in Naperville right next to the USCIS Application Center. You can send Balakbayan boxes from there. As mentioned, you will meet Fils anywhere.

Charles, I never suspected you to be a cheesehead. :jest:
