We just got an NOA in the mail today regarding Louis' AOS. It says "this is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing .... CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER"

Is this good, bad or doesn't matter?

Louis already got his AP and EAD. He even has a job already (woo hoo)!

I wonder why there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason with the AOS timelines. I have seen some people wait so long and others a month... before getting interviews and GCs.

June 29 2009: Green Card Received

March 6 2011: Lifting Conditions

June 6 2012: Apply for US Citizenship

Our file was transfered to CSC too after 2-3 calls to USCIS. It took more than 4months for me (from the filing date) to get the EAD and AP. We filed AOS in October and GC in hand just a week ago without the interview. Guess what : our AOS status online -> last touch on Nov 26,2008. :-)

K1 VISA

I-129F NOA1 : 2007-12-21

I-129F NOA2 : 2008-05-02

Consulate Received : 2008-05-15

Packet 3 Received : 2008-05-20

Interview Date : 2008-06-05

Visa Received : 2008-06-18

US Entry : 2008-07-11

Port of Entry : Washington DC

POE Date : 2008-07-11

Marriage : 2008-07-30

Adjustment of Status

Date Filed (AOS,EAD,AP) : 2008-10-06

NOA1 (AOS, EAD, AP) : 2008-10-20 (dated 2008-10-16)

Biometric Appointment Received : 2008-10-25

Biometric : 2008-11-07

AOS Transfer** : 2009-03-03

Advance Parole Date Received : 2009-04-17 (157 days)

EAD Approved Date : 2009-03-17 (162 days)

EAD Card Received : 2009-03-20

GC Approval : 2009-04-06

Greencard Received: 2009-04-23

GC approved without the interview after 6 months and few weeks. The case status online is still with the last touch on November 2008. Don't open that website too often..:-)

So I guess that is good. I was kind of looking forward to the interview.. but if they want to send him his GC then go ahead!! ;)

We have had no "touches" either.

Transfer to CSC means that you don't have an AOS interview.

It is supposed to speed up the process.

That is what I had read on VJ

We were transferred and rec'd GC with no Interview.
