Hey guys,

My wife is here and been here for about a month now. When we filled up the DS230, it said that the Social security card will be mailed to us, but it hasn't happened yet. She got her temporary residential card with a A#, but to work, she needs a SSN. So do we have to go down to the social security office and apply for one? Thanks

Maybe you should check it out at the SS office. Let them know that it has been a month.

You'll need to visit the SSA and submit an SS-5 application in order to get the card.

Awesome, thanks.
