Do i need to write NVC case # on every page of the documents that i am sending to NVC for ds230?

Yes, I think the email from NVC will say so.. I did not write by hand but instead posted a sticky notes on all pages of my packages. I wrote case #, name/dob, and what form it was (I did the same for both AOS and IV package)

Yes you should .Its better that you have a neat and organized packet .I pasted labels with NVC# on copies and wrote it with lead pencil on originals.Also don't forget to write it lightly on back of photographs also.

Aug 07,09 Every thing looks very good,visa issuance is up to the consulate!!!

Aug 07,09 Passport submitted

Aug 07,09 USEM is requesting applicant's passport :)

Aug 17,09-call 1 Visa issued Aug 3rd,EM recvd passport on 10th but still havent returned it

Aug 17,09-call 2 Case pending some kind of processing (URGHHHHHHHHH NOT AGAIN)

Aug 18,09 call to pick up passport,picked up from AMEX

Sep 26,09 REUNION :)

Wife can not read english! How can she complete it?

Hi Mike..

I did not have a lawyer so I really don't know how things work when lawyers are involved. But here is my 2 cents...

1. In my case I (petitioner) was the agent for my husband. When we got our case #, I had called NVC and gave them both my and my husband's email address. So, for everything that we got, it was via email. Also, on all emails, either it was addressed to me and my husband was copied on it, or it was sent to my husband i was copied on it. My suggestion to you is to call NVC and give them your email addresses

2. I don't know if your lawyer will fill out DS-230 or not. Even if lawyer wants to, he/she will need information from your wife. If your wife gets help from anyone in filling out DS-230 form, then she can simply say so at the end of the DS-230 form. There is a section in the end on DS-230 form which asks if anyone helped fill out the form and if so then sign/date, etc..

3. Even though I was agent for my husband, I never got any kind of package with DS-230 forms or anything like that from NVC. So, I suggest that your wife or you can fill out this form and give it to lawyer. This way, as soon as your IV bill is paid, your lawyer can print out the cover sheet and send out the package with supporting documents.

'Mike and Yan', By looking at your time line, looks like you paid I864 AND IV payments through online. As Champi mentioned above, all of my stuff came also through email . I called NVC to get my case # and when they give the case #, they updated both of our email address and other contact info.

The only thing i received by mail was the approval letter [N02] from USCIS. All of the NVC communication has been through email and this is much faster than the mail route.

After i received my case #, it only took a total of 10 days to send all the docs to NVC [AOS and DS230]

Our lawyer fills everything in for us, he sends us (by email)the completed forms which require signature, I-864 to my husband who prints it off, signs it and returns to him with required documents. DS-230 to me which I print out sign and send to him with all original documents required (I just did that today) Then he organizes and sends the completed packages to NVC.
