September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

So many to choose from. I think most of the ones mentioned here are great choices. But I find that when this debate comes up, the one that usually gets left off the list is Freddie Mercury. I understand that some might be put off by his "life style" but when it comes to his vocals and stage presence, he's fighting for the top spot, in my opinion.

Freddie certainly was a great singer and had a hug stage presence.

Probably for sheer outrageousness I'd pick Jim Morrison of the Doors. His onstage antics got him arrested on more than one occasion. I was really into their tunes in my teens and I have most of their original albums on vinyl. I never saw them live, but there is plenty of concert video around on DVD. His grave in Paris still draws tourists.

Ah, I forgot about the Doors. A great band. Morrison was something. I tend to go for the legends in rock, the ones who paved the way for todays bands.
