I'll move this to the UK forum, you'll probably get a better response from there. I would have a look around the UK forum too if I were you, this question has been asked previously in there.

And a different thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=185713

And a map I made showing hotels people have stayed in, Knightsbridge medical and the Embassy. You can zoom it or move it about and see coach stops or zoom out and see tube stations. http://www.click2map.com/maps/nichnick/Embassy_London

Lincoln House is near coach routes if he's taking the coach into London. Look for routes that say Baker St/George St/Gloucester Pl.

The millenium mayfair hotel is on the same square as the embassy you just cross the road but be warned it's expensive. I stayed there one night for interview and it cost me £166 which did not include breakfast or food which would have cost me another £30 plus. But the concierge did hold my bags for free for me while I was at the embassy so I didn't have to pay extra for late checkout.
