My wife's police certificate states that it is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. The certificate would expire on 5/9/09. My attorney has sent the AOS/IV documents last week to NVC, however, they are not in their system yet. Supposing that they start to review my case next week, will the expiration date on the police certificate be an issue? All answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Thanks for your prompt reply, but why is it considered to be valid for 1 year?

My husband's police certificate expires on 4/30. We're almost done with the NVC but I'm going to have him get an updated one for the interview which will probably be in June. They're fairly cheap and easy to get so why not. I don't want to take any chances on interview day.

Okay, Thanks for your help!

They are valid for up to one year, unless of course you wish to get another one, it does not hurt.
