Okay,

Who has had experience with MIA. I have seen some horrible reviews online for first time immigrants. I was going to let my husband come through New York and pick him up but decided that he should come to DC and get him there cause it's easier. Now i am a little worried.

Thank you very much. A lot of them say the same thing, long wait for immigration processing. I am a little worried. He only has 2 and a half hours between flights.

Don't worry. Immigration informed me that if our flight was gone, the airline had to put us on the next flight.

Our saving grace was that all flights were delayed in Miami - inbound and outbound - so we ended up on the original flight. You might call the airline and ask them what would happen for an unforseen delay.
