issues getting packet 3 and check list to embassy.

Hey everyone-

We still haven't heard anything from the embassy for packet 4. When I phoned DOS today they said they still do not see anything being received at the embassy.

My fiance sent out his DS forms 6 weeks ago and the checklist 3 weeks ago.

This is getting discouraging as we had already sent everything to them before Christmas. That time we thought the mail system lost it.

Anyone else having these issues?

How did you send it? SMS? Royal Mail?

Assuming you sent it Royal Mail, did you use Special Delivery, etc? If you still have the receipt from the post office, call them up or go to their website to get the Proof of Delivery and the signature image, that way you can see if it really was delivered (and if it wasn't, send it again and claim the compensation from RM)

If you have to submit the packet again, make sure you send it by Special Delivery at the very least, so you can know it was delivered.

I sent my forms with checklist 3 weeks ago too. I'm hoping to hear from them this week & we're gonna call DOS tomorrow.

I suppose they will have been closed over the Easter break too!

My Fiance sent it what he calls recorded delivery. He works long shifts but luckily he is off tomorrow. We are planning to fill it all out again tonight and he will send it off once more as well as find out who signed for it.

I sent mine off special post but never got a signiture just confirmation it was received, so dont panick if you dont get a signiture

And photocopy the forms (unsigned) before you do - that way if it should get lost again , all you have to do is sign the copies and send them again

if you dont hear anything back from them, Id get in contact with your local congress person, we spent the better part of 7 months of sending in packets to the embassy in London and calling them to get the wait 6 weeks and send it again spiel, Paul called his local congress woman and she had me send Paul the dates of when I sent each packet (thank goodness I'd scanned in the checklist and everything they had sent in packet 3 before hand), and followed it up with the embassy in London, they had me send in another packet of forms and the embassy faxed Paul's congresswoman when it arrived there. it all went nice and smooth after that, had my medical and visa interview a few weeks later The congresswoman knew my interview date a few days after they recieved my packet and got her receptionist to call Paul so he could let me know LOL.

Needless to say we likey our congresswoman, very very nice lady so yes get in contact with your local congress person if the wait goes on more than a few months, we just wish we had sooner
