Browse around this site, Bharat. Read people's signature and timelines... You will find many people waiting and waiting and waiting... It's what we do best... and what we do least well....

Look at the Immigration Timelines and you'll get a sense of things. With IMBRA, timelines have been extended with no clear timeframes... Since you filed in May, before the new I-129F form was issued, you can expect at least one RFE by default due to IMBRA.

Be sure to check the Guides and FAQs before you post... and welcome to VJ!

50 days was pre-IMBRA... expect it to be longer now.

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

So what is IMBRA?? Am i considered pre-IMBRA?? Thank you for ur quick replies

Read about IMBRA here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=126

IMBRA was legislation passed to protect beneficiaries from petitioners who have criminal history/intent. Designed to protect those who met using marriage brokers, this legislation has affected everyone who did not receive their visas prior to March 6.

You are post-IMBRA and thus impacted along with 9,999 others....

As you are one of the many that submitted the I-129F prior to the new one being release which contains extra questions in order to be compliant with the IMBRA, you will receive an RFE from the service center so as your petition will be compliant. Until then all you can do is sit tight and wait. Once they have the extra information your petition will then sit and wait until the listed processing date reaches your NOA1 receipt/received date. You have a bit of a wait yet. Read up in the forum on IMBRA (link provided by JenT)

All the best

Since i have submitted my entire packet to TSC, Do they process it or is it sent somewhere else?? because i looked at the website, and I-129F is not on their list....

It gets sent to CSC. Only CSC and VSC are presently processing I-129F petitions for fiance. They still get sent to the center governing your residence but they are then transferred.
