Starting this thread for people who got interview dates for May. Let's wait together during this hopefully last stage before all this nonsense is over and we can be with out jans!!!

Want to thank all of you for your advice through this, VJ made this whole process so easy and minimized my ulcers and grey hairs. Just got my wife's interview letter today by email for May 18, so happy & excited :dance::dance:

NVC made me wait a very long weekend 2 weeks ago before they completed my case on a Monday. So I thought was facing another long weekend, this time 3 days, before they gave me a date next week. But thankfully, got the letter tonight at 8:20 pm. I was very shocked since most people I spoke to received the letter in mornings. I rushed back from work and I checked my email at 6pm in the evening today, but was very disappointed and stressed when I did not see any letter from NVC. Thought about calling NVC, but then thought again, as I didn't want to hear the same BS from them about waiting 8 weeks. Thought I was doomed to wait the weekend, as didn't think the NVC was still working after 6pm and Friday is a holiday. I know NVC is working on Friday, but they would probably be pissed they had to work on a holiday and would probably slack off  . I decided to sleep off the disappointment and depression, so took a 3 hour nap. And once I woke up, the letter was there and the Rangers are going to the playoffs!! Best Thursday ever. I am still so surprised, did not expect the NVC to work so late. God bless them, unlike those lazy idiots at USCIS.

Now have my fingers crossed that the Embassy don't push my date back, as some people from my Embassy got date pushed back a week for April. So can't really book tix to join my wife until 2 weeks before interview date, when I can be sure they won't push back, :( . But that's a worry for later, nothing's gona spoil this weekend now!

I did have a question, NVC sent the appointment letter and the checklist of what original and photocopy documents the NVC received for the interview. But did not get any medical instructions, which I thought would come with the letter. Should I just follow the instructions at the Embassy website for the medical?

Well,

Really happy for you....

About the instruction package, u will be sent another Interview Letter from Embassy soon. There u will get all sort of detailed interview letter, instructions and Additional Questionnaire form. Actually this is issued from DoS .... Like u, I also collected list of physicians and other instructions from the Embassy website, but later on my husband got the packet.....

Good Luck..

Thnks Sonia, this is helpful. Did the embassy email their letter and how long before interview did they send it?

My husband got the letter 2nd April or something...and it was issued on March 18th...So like a week later from when the interview date's been scheduled...

I believe this letter does not really directly goes from US Embassy Bangladesh....Moreover, it is sent from Washington DC or something, but the issuing authority is Embassy....

AVR will tell u soon....Thats the accurate....

In interview letter sent by NVC throught email shows the date that was issued but AVR on the other hand gives the exact date when it is shifted...Atleast in my case it worked like that....

Good Luck...

Not sure what timeline with notary is. But pics, emails, im's should be enough. For femal applicants, they do not usually harass too much, normally just look at pics in most cases and nothing else. But would take everything else needed just in case.

If you sent originals to NVC, you can just take copies with you to interview. Of course, if you can manage to get duplicate originals in the meantime, all the better. Never know if they lose your documents, although it's very rare.

I have to write a timeline to my wife, for her to show CO about our on going relationship. Meaning, when is the first time I met her online, first time I went back to VN, when is the first time I proposal to her to marry me. 2 nd. time I went back to VN for our wedding... and 3 rd. I went back there. Where we go? How is our relationship giong. I don't know how strict is Morocco embassy, but for HCM embassy is very strict about timeline. So, good luck.

Yes, might be a embassy specific thing. As far as I am aware from others expereicne, no timeline requirement for Bangladesh embassy. But might write one up just for the heck of it, who knows.

Good News!!! And congratulations for coming interview. Are you falling under category of CR1 or IR1? Just curious to know.
