I am not aware of an online EAD status check.

Try your EAD receipt # on-line see if it works. Sometimes it does not work at all !...

Do not trust the on-line system, because IT REALLY SUCKS !....

GOOD LUCK !......

HERE IS MY TIMELINE :

I-130 mailed 01/13/09

I-130 received by USCIS 01/16/09

NOA1 Mail for I-130 received 01/22/09

I-485 Package received by USCIS 02/20/09

NOA1 Mail for I-485 & I-765 received 02/26/09

NOA2 Hard Copy of I-130 Approval received 03/07/09

Biometrics Done 03/24/09

REAL WAIT BEGINS .........

NOTE : I DID NOT APPLY FOR AP (I-131) AND STILL CAN'T SEE ON-LINE STATUS FOR AOS & EAD !.....

This link will also give you an update https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do simply enter the receipt number from your NOA. But, the updates don't really get done, you'll have your EAD on hand maybe 1 month before it'll show up here. It took me 145 days for approval, but many have gotten theirs in less than 60 days. Just sit back and wait, and enjoy the time off!

We called the USCIS Hotline yesterday and got through to an immigration officer who told us ours was approved on Monday. He said it should be in the mail this week! We haven't been able to view our case status online.
