Does anyone know if it's possible to download a DS-156 in .pdf format?

For my K1 interview in Croatia I need the mentioned form, filled in by hand - they specifically said I shouldn't fill it in ONLINE and submit it electronically, but instead bring the copies with me to the interview. Apparently, they can't process this type of visa electronically. I can't seem to find the form ANYWHERE on the internet. The only way I can get a copy is to hit the continue here and print out a blank form with a barcode on it.

Has anyone else done it this way? Or any other way that DID NOT include the electronic way of filling in the DS-156?

The Embassy sent me a copy of DS-156, but it's in Croatian and it expired 5 years ago so I did not intend to use that particular one.

Just so you know - when you complete the electronic version of the DS-156, it does not submit your information (electronically) - it simply inserts all the data you entered into the bar code - anyone completing the DS-156 online still needs to print it out and submit it via traditional methods (most bring to the interview). If that helps.

Doesn't the electronic one give you the option to print it out after you fill in the information?

- Yes - it does :)

DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE. You must click the "Continue" button below and then print the form to complete the process. Please do not click the "Continue" button more than once. Your answers must be in English and must use English characters.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Thanks for your reply.

So I should just fill it in electronically, print it out the same way I did every time for a visitor visa and then bring the forms with me, just like I did for the visitor visa, too? The barcode on it, I assume, won't matter?

It does, but the Embassy employee said I could/should fill it in by hand, the whatever form they sent me (of course, they had no idea the form expired in 2004 and was in Croatian, which in and of itself doesn't work) and bring it with me.

I guess I'll just fill it in online and print out the thing the same way I did for the visitor visas.

I am not sure those forms are on the USCIS website, I believe they are discussed at travel.state.gov the State department Website...go figure....

My attorney had all those forms filled out for me and sent them to me in an email so my fiancee could just sign them, then they sent the whole package off to the embassy..
