r u guys putting this stuff together for the interview abroad or for when u file for adjustment of status?

For the interview abroad  After you start printing everything, it's alot of stuff! Best to be organized when the interviewer asks for something...and it has to be passed through a little window slot so that's why we have the small folders/binders inside the big one...hope that wasn't too much info...lol.

Well, it's not so much what they will ask for..but what they are looking for. It's best to show them as much evidence as possible that you have an ongoing relationship. So, for example, in my case....I'm sending a history log from Skype since last year, phone records, phone card history (that shows what # the call was made from and to), emails, facebook messages, messenger histories. Lots of pictures including their family members, pictures of our engagement, out and about...you get the picture. I think that's it, hope I'm not forgetting anything. Plus the documents they ask for, and a copy of the I129F package and NOAs.

Well the packet 3 is what the non USC will have to gather for the interview...documents, police records, medical and other things I can't remember right now. The packet 3 stuff is in addition to what I just wrote about the ongoing relationship documents. I think that's right, if I'm wrong someone correct me please. :D

We're both gathering info, but I want to organize it all and send it to my fiance to keep things clean and organized...paranoid, I know!

So as of yesterday, I have officially filed for everything I'll need for Packet 3:

- Went to the police station Monday to file for my police clearance, should see it in hand within the week.

- Called up my local health unit and asked for them to mail out a copy of my immunization record, should have it in hand within the next couple of days.

- Called up my doctor's office and convinced the secretary that it wasn't a big deal for my doctor to be listed as a guarantor so I can get a long form copy of my birth certificate, and to inform her that I was putting him down (thankfully she really had no idea what I was talking about), should have that within three weeks.

Once I have everything I need, time to get on hubby-to-be's butt about finding and/or filing to receive copies of his tax records for the past three years.

Packet 3 will list off documentation that is required by the beneficiary to bring to the interview. Burden of proof is on you to prove that your relationship is legit, so any evidence required to do so is over and above. This package includes a checklist that you must check off and sign once all of the documents listed have been gathered/filled out, then that list must be faxed off to the consulate. Once they receive that, they'll continue.

Tried to attach an example of the checklist for my consulate, but that didn't work out. If I can find the link around here, I'll post it for perusal.
