How to respond to RFE

I am responding to an RFE related to my I-485 application. My question is: do I keep the original (blue) RFE notice and attach a copy of it with my response, or do I keep a copy and attach the original?

The notice itself is not clear on this issue.

I have my RFE on my AOS for my I-485. I do keep a copy only for myself and the original i sent it back to them.

The RFE notice says to include it with your response - 'It' being the original notice. (Keep a copy of it and anything you send.)

I very much doubt that USCIS would use coloured paper if there wasn't a reason for it. Presumably the colour of the paper* tells the mail room staff what to do with the file or something similar. Don't give them any excuse to be picky or make their job any more complicated than necessary - do precisely what they ask and include the very same piece of paper they sent to you. As others said, obviously keep a copy of everything you send back for your records.

*I've had two RFEs from them - one was pink the other was blue so they're not always the same colour.
