Hey,

sorry for the other confusing topic.

Okay what I meant is that I am going to be a Spouse of a Navy Guy :D

And so he has no idea how to file and for what to file, but he said that it is kind of different from the normal process, since its easier for the military.

Now I need your help, HOW is it easier, and for WHAT do we have to file ??

Its only easier and faster for military folks IF the U.S. citizen "petitoner" is being deloyed out soon and that you are already married when you file. , then you can apply for a expedite. But regardsless, you have to file first.

Start with the guides first, they will help alot. Good luck.

I, myself, is a military member. The base attorney will review you paperwork if he needs to after he is done filing them. To expedite your case, he need an order stating he is deploying somewhere downrange...Iraq or Afghanistan, then you can come to the USA faster. OTHER than that, you case will be just like everyone else... will be review base on you case requirements. Goodluck!

Plus, you will only need to meet the 100% of the poverty level, since the petitioner is in the military.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Hearing about long-term deployments reminds me of a story. Well, Lin and Wang are a happily married chinese couple. The morning of his return home from a 9 month deployment, Lin exclaimed, "Me so happy. I no see Wang for long time!"

Itz sad that our fighting men and woman live in the poverty level. Letz tell Obama to give them a 100% raise to get them out of poverty level.

um military only needs 100% because other allowances (BAH,BAS, etc) are non taxable, it doesn't mean we live on " poverty level".
