I was just wondering how long a police cert is valid for after it is recieved???? For the interview...

I don't know about Ireland, but in Australia, it is only valid for the date that it is issued. That's why I think they want a recent one. Perhaps others can add to this.

I don't think it matters much. My fiance (Irish) got his at the end of January and his interview was March 19 and there was no question at all. BUT, they technically require you to have all your paperwork gathered BEFORE you send in your letter of readiness, so I would assume that as long as you request it after your NOA2 you're good to go. I think within reason I'd say 3-6 months. Beyond that I'd probably get a new one.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
