The application is my wife's so I'm guessing the cover letter should be from her and signed by her. True? I've done an exhausting search, but I can't find this specific question in any of the posts I've looked at.

Probably because you're in the wrong forum ....

Try AOS Forum. I saw a post just yesterday.

The answer is yes, it should be signed from her, although I feel like they probably don't even look at the cover letters unless something is missing.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Thanks for the links. One more question, I think, the envelop provided by USPS for priority mail, just stuff the stuff in that envelop or should I put in another envelop then put in the USPS envelop? I guess USPS has special envelop for priority mail, true?

to be safe i would put it in another envelope, but i doubt that's necessary , so long as they are well fastened and organized. make sure to check and recheck to make sure that everything is just where u need it to be.

True. But I also added my husband as the second signature. It looks like this. Please disregard the ".............".

Sincerely Yours,

The application is my wife's so I'm guessing the cover letter should be from her and signed by her. True? I've done an exhausting search, but I can't find this specific question in any of the posts I've looked at.

Cover letters are completely optional so it doesn't need to be signed by anyone. I signed the one for my wife's AOS, for waht it is worth. I prepared everything, so why not? She signed the forms as required.

They all said that cover letter is optional so I didn't sign mine. I just put a sort of cover-letter-checklist for whoever would sort out my papers.

Good luck!
