HI all,

Just wanted to tell you about my entry into the US on the K1 and my POA experiance.

Came in through Chicago, gave over the yellow envilope to the lovely lady, she asked me Steves name, what he does, and asked Emily if i was her mom, which she said yes to, thank goodness, lol. They where all lovely at Chicago.

She said she would be sending the package to Oklahoma Immigraration Services and that all was good. She said please marry before 90 days and then file your AOS, and Welcome to the USA.

So now im here with my Steve after 9 months of doing the K1 visa. I cant believe this part is over and i wont have to leave Steve again:)

For all of you doing this please bear with it, its so worth it in the end.

Thanks again for all your help and support over the last 9 months:)

September 15 - 2005: NOA1

October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

oh they did lose my bags lol, i still dont have them.

But that happens even IN the States. I flew from Houston to Louisville and they somehow lost all of me and my family's bags. It took us a week to get them back. BUT I do give the airline props, they drove all the luggage up the 45 minutes from the airport and dropped it off at our house on a Sunday. So, yay for rectifying mistakes!
