So I'm thinking of trying the Subway diet..... I did this before and lost some weight but it was expensive..... of course I would cook things here at home too.... but with all the things we have going on be it basketball practice, baseball practice not to mention the games.....school events..... we would end up at a fast food place fast quick and easy..... so i decided that instead of eating food that was unhealthy might as well eat at Subway.....does anyone have any helpful ideas that you would like to share on how you stay fit and healthy.....now i use to walk the treadmill 3 miles every night and do Taebo every other day but here lately I don't have the energy....well maybe it's that I'm getting older I have noticed that I have to really push myself to get on the treadmill then i feel exhausted after walking the 3 miles that i can't do Taebo.....yes i know sounds crazy maybe but I have to do this to drop my pounds.....and to stay a certain weight i have to walk the three miles every other night..... :bonk: okay Thanks in advance.....

Whole grains, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meat. Diets are a short-term solution that never pan out -- you have to make a lifestyle change to keep the weight off.

Cutting out sugars is huge for me.. It's tough to do.. and the detox can be painful if you have a lot of sugar in your diet currently.. but I've found it's something that really affects my weight..

I've been far more physically active for about 2 months now ever since I went to the Dr's and realized I gained 20 lbs since moving to the US. It's helping a lot too on days when I don't have the willpower to eat as I should

i asked about the weight because if u were serious about the subway it could only work if you were extremely overweight.

I think the current line of thinking is that sugar - in general - tends to increase your appetite. Water's better to guzzle than diet drinks.

Whole grains and protein increases that full-feeling. You also DO need fat in your diet, cutting it out entirely will also make you crave Bad Things.

A good, filling and low-cal meal would be like grilled chicken salad, vinegar dressing, with a side of brown rice.

When I was anorexic, I lived on about 150 calories a day of pure protein, plus cardio two hours a day. I lost about 30 pounds in six weeks buuuuut, it wasn't sustainable. ;)

Have you ever read the ingredients label on that French Vanilla creamer? Why not just take a spoonful of Crisco and some fake vanilla flavour and put that in your coffee? It's about the same effect! Frankenfoods! yuck! The nutrition panel may say 0 trans-fats, but if there's partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated oils in it, it is trans fats, and no amount is good for you. Not to mention the amount of sugars in those things! bleah...really, 5 grams of sugars per tablespoon serving? How often do you actually measure how much you're putting in your coffee? And how many per day do you use?

Switch to REAL heavy cream, and no sweeteners, or half a packet of Splenda, you'll do yourself a huge favour!

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

Stay away from high carb foods.

Breads, Potatoes, Pasta (Anything that is white).

Stay away from High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar is ok in very small doses.

Eat: Lean Meats, Veggies, Fresh Fruits.

Limit how much you put on your plate, and try to eat slow.

Don't eat after 6pm, Do Not have desserts.

Try to exercise about 4 times per week, Make the exercise at least 1 hour long.

Make this a lifestyle and not just a phase and you will loose weight and stay lean........
