What really annoyed me about this sport, just too many ball hogs, no team play or plays, one guy running down the field kicking the ball with no help from team members or kicking it back and forth to make plays. Guy gets so far and loses it, opposite team does the same thing, so basically just a bunch of running back and forth.

I don't really know which game you watched but I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of these...

There is more technique on kicking a football and score than just holding an American football really tight and running past the scoring line. Technique Vs Muscle

LOL, you would have to watch hours to see something like that, nice it was all condensed. Thought you were referring to soccer being a non-contact sport, but got some of my worse injuries playing basketball that is suppose to also be a non contact sport.

I mean, I know we are men and we like boxing and seeing people kicking the ####### out of each other,

But to me, it's more amazing to see a ball curving because of the effect that a player gives it than seeing some 300 400-lbs guy tackling another 300, 400-lb player.

That's just me...

HAHAHA, that's funny! You do realize they don't weigh that much. I mean, some of them do but that's very rare. Most of them are in the 180-280 range. And, if you really know something about football, that's not all it's about. Javi absolutely loves football now that he's been exposed to it. He has the NCAA football game for his PS2 and plays it continuously. He also watches football more often than soccer. It all depends on what you know about each sport. Like I said, you really can't compare the two.

Like all sports, they all revolve around a birdy, puck, or ball with a massive effort to move that ball from one side of the field or court to the other. Really nothing of value is accomplished, except half the fans are ecstatic and the other half ready to commit suicide or go into a severe state of depression.

Being a spectator results in a huge pot belly, playing is a lot more fun, but yet those who play are multi-millionaires. A lot of money for having fun and guess who is paying for it?

Really???

I was never comparing them, like I said, I like both but PERSONALLY it's more impressing to see how a player curves a ball than 2 huge guys wrestling. PERSONALLY m'key?

Glad Javi likes American football...I guess

I love football (soccer)

Glasgow Celtic FC is my team (L) B) I have a signed John Hartson jersey, although he no longer plays for celtic

Go the Bhoys, League Cup winners March 14th 2009

OMG, Maria, i cant tell Gary you have a Hartson jersey, he would flip!! He was his fav player.

MaryLou, i got the signed hartson jersey when i met him at the Minto Hotel in Edinburgh, my ex was DJ'n there, it was a celtic benefit and my ex had spoken with hartson's agent before the benefit, regarding me getting a signed jersey. I even got a kiss on the cheek from hartson, never washed my face for 2 weeks after that.

My Hartson jersey is with my dad back in scotland, i wish i could have brought it with me, but i had it framed so didn't want to take the chance of it being damaged.

Separated!!

You don't have to be a smart@s. And yeah, really! If you didn't catch it earlier I said I've grown up in football. You really don't want to argue or even discuss the finer points of football with me. Just as I don't care to discuss the finer points of soccer with you because I'm sure you know more than me. But, don't sit there and try to act like you have a better grasp on American football than I do. Because, rest assured, you don't. Just FYI, wrestling is a completely different sport. They don't tend to "wrestle" in football. Of course, if you knew anything about football you'd know that. Kthnxbai.
