Hi all:

AR-11

Purpose of Form :

To report the change of address of an alien in the United States.

YMMV

But the petitioner should call the USCIS to let them know of the address change.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I would call the 800#

I would write a letter to where I sent my package with a copy of the NOA.

I would have my mail forwarded from the PO

You don't want to miss the mail. It could be a disaster in not responding to a RFE if you get one or any other communications which needs your attention.

After about a month, I would call the 800# again to see if the Service Center had received and recording your change of address.

Good luck on you journey.

I am answering my own question....after further reading:

USC Petitioner: Only needs to change his/her address online at the USCIS website.

An Alien: has to do that too, but also has to file the AR-11.
