Dear All,

I received 2 RFE's for both my Wifes case and my Sons. I was using a lawyer for the same and the AVR said a Checklist of the RFE was sent to the Lawyer as he was designated my Agent. Since he has been really slow I decided to take the matter in my own hands. I called up NVC and spoke to an operator and she was really helpful in informing me what I needed to send for each case. I spoke to 2 others just to reconfirm we all were on the same page. I recieved the RFE's on March 13 and decided to send out the package my self on March 16th. I enclosed a coversheet explaining that the documents are for the RFE's recieved and also put a Barcode sheet used earlier for both of the cases so they can scan it.

My Question is: Will there be any problems as I didnt wait for the checklist Generated by NVC that was sent to my lawyer and send the documents anyway using my own Coversheet??? Kindly help!!!

Regards,

Waheed

Does it matter at this point? You already sent them

It will probably be ok - as long as the operator gave you all the info. I assume you called your lawyer and told him/her that you sent this information yourself? You do not want them to duplicate the info sent - that can confuse things and hold up your paperwork.

Good luck!

Hehe I hope there is no problem at all. I did call the Lawyer and blast him for being slow. I told him I sent everything he said ok thats perfectly fine. Like he cares anyway. He got his money. I hope no one uses a lawyer for this they just slow everything down.

Hi Waheed, sorry u got a RFE, but hopefully it will not cause too much delay. They normally procsses these with a few days after receipt. Was wondering what the RFE was for. Your timeline says they requested originals and photographs. Did you forget to send the original documents with photograph in the initial packet?

Hi HSB,

The RFE on my wifes case was for the Originials of the PCC, Birth Certificate, and Marriage Certificate plus the proper size of photos 2x2, plus AOS had a few mistakes in Part 2 and 3 and my sons case was only the Birth Certificate and AOS had to be I864-W as he is exempt and will become as US Citizen once we Adjust his Status along with the photos. I filed using a lawyer and told him many times that Originals have to be sent but he ignored me and just sent the photo copies of everything which caused us a Silly RFE. Thats why I decided to take matters into my own hands and send them out myself in proper order instead of utilizing him anymore.
