3 year drug ban in CDJ

Hello everyone, I am trying to get an idea about how many people out there have been given the 3-year drug ban for admitting to experimentation with marijuana( using once or twice), I am particuarily interested in cases where there are U.S. citizen spouses and U.S. citizen children affected.My spouse was banned in Oct. 2008, I am drafting letters to the immigration subcommitee as well as the White House.I need other families to come forward, whether or not you are fighting, or have fought, or even if you decided not too.Has anyone prevailed while fighting, and how?

oh wow. good luck in your crusade. i didn't have to go through that. i have seen a couple of folks way back posting about bans due to drug use. i forgot the length though.

oh, and brace yourself, you will get some very nasty replies around here regarding drug use.

My understanding and this comes from Atty. Micheal Girfinkel, if you ever admit to using drugs, even 20 yrs ago, and do not use them now, it is a LIFETIME Ban. NOT a 3 yr band.

Wow...and employers have to suffer in the US accomodating rehabilitating addicts/alcoholics and yet they would ban a person for a one time use 20 years ago.

I would if i was in that situation is say I did not do drugs, Now how can they prove it. they cant test it cause it will be neg. s
