Passport type photo.....HELP!

Just a quick question... I just got my pictures for the G325 form done. The passport photo specs for Canada are different then the specs for the US. My question is ... Will this cause problems and an RFE? US specs are 2" x 2" Canada is 2" x 2 3/4" ....... The petition is complete from my "Beneficiary" side, well I guess because I am the control freak I did the leg work on all of it, all the USC has to do is complete a small portion of the I-125f, sign all the letters, complete his G325, attach his copies of B/C and Divorce Cert, and get his picture done. Hopefully we will be filing in the beginning of May.

Any input would be good....

Maybe...maybe not.

It is possible that, although they are Canadian sized pics, they could fall within the parameters of the U.S. picture specifications - so that's the first thing to check (ie is the the part from the top of the head to the chin within the size parameters).

If they do not - I would personally have them redone.

May not cause an RFE from USCIS - but for future reference, you'll want US sized passport photos (51mm by 51mm) for the Embassy.

Just a thought, since you sent it with the G325, they don't use those one's for your visa. So you may not get an RFE, if its the wrong size that you send to NVC, then you'd probably be more likely to get one.

Personally, while awaiting to see whether you get an RFE, I'd have a new set taken to the correct size. That way, once the RFE comes in the mail, you can send it off right then and there. And, if you don't end up using those pictures because you didn't get an RFE, you can always send those to NVC when they request them.

Walmart will do any size as long as you tell them measurements and for what - I freaked out about mine as well and I think I went back and they redid them.

You will die laughing when you see what they actually do with those first pics (or is it 1 of the Package 3 ones???) I watched the lady, take my photo - take a freaking glue stick and slather it before plunking it up in the top corner of her paperwork.

A slight difference in size shouldn't have been such a big deal.

No one understood what I meant by "Canadian passport size photos." I gave multiple places the correct dimensions and at each place they simply printed out U.S. passport sized photos. They had no idea what I was talking about, despite giving them the information sheet from Immigration Canada.

Many didn't even understand me when I said I wanted Canadian passport photos. They immediately figured I'd be immigrating to the United States (which would be weird considering I was within the U.S. at the time) and got confused when I suggested something else. A few photo places even asked me why I was immigrating to Canada and couldn't understand any reason for leaving the U.S. at all.

I wouldn't worry either - I sent Canadian sized passport photos with my K-1 and no RFE, no problems. Heck, I didn't even know then that US passport photos were a different size.

I asked at my local Walgreens- they said the machine they have has a Country option that will automatically control picture size.
