Joey,

They arent really looking at your 130 timeline, its the K3(129f) that you filed for. So I think you have one more month until you are out of processing times for it right?

"Your case is active", this is the words they used?

Good Luck, I hope you hear something soon

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I agree with Lisa, its your I-129F timeline that you have to follow. Your I-130 was taken out of the processing line, and placed with the I-129F.

You will hear soon!! Good Luck!

I asked for a service request too. I don't expect anything to come out of it but I figured it couldn't hurt.

How exactly does the processing time thing work anyway ? The official I-129F processing time is May 12, 2008 and so being September I-129F filers, both Joey and I are nowhere close to being outside processing times.

Are you saying that the 6-month timeline for the I-130 still holds except that the 6 month period starts with the I-129F filing date ? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Well, since you filed k3's, it knocks the 130 form out of the processing time picture really. So they will go by the 129f posted dates.

If the posted time is May, they can basically keep you at bay. They dont have to do anything, sorry :(

I also did an inquiry and I got back a letter that basically said what the website said: "we are currently working on dates received....bla bla..yada...." It was completely worthless.

Write your congressmen and ask for a formal inquiry. At least you will know where you are in the process. "pending" "in the que" or "with an adjudicator" Its better than the unknown IMHO.

Good Luck guys.

I understood the 60 day thing as meaning you have to wait 60 days after the normal processing time to cause a stink. :-P So this means that if the normal processing time is 6 months, then you actually have to wait 8 months before you can complain!
