OK so I was just reading about the process for the K1, and I see that after the first NOA I should be doing the I-134 Affidavit of Support form.. I didnt think that we had to do that until after we were actually married and applying for the AoS? I'm nervous about it because I dont believe I make enough on my own according to the guides that I have seen and my parents wouldnt be able to help because they dont live anywhere near me. Any advice? Any stories or suggestions?? Please and thank you!

You can mail your family the forms and then they can mail it back to you with the proper info, and that should work.

Your fiancee needs the I-134 for the consular interview. You'll need the I-864 for AOS later.

The I-134 is needed for the interview phase. You will need to file the I-864 affadavit of support for the AOS, There are TWO. And YOU will have to qulaify for both. Your spouse will not have a document to be employed at this time, he will not receive this until AFTER the AOS is completed. Once married you can count your spouses assets toward the financial requirement at a rate of 5 to 1. $5 assets equals $1 toward income requirement. The immigrants assets cannot be used toward the I-134 for the interview
