Another damn April this morning :ranting:

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

hello! stan, i just want to ask if you did the paper works by yourself or you paid an agency or a lawyer to do it for you??? is it true that its faster if you hire a lawyer or agency to do the paper works? we just did our papers on our own and could'nt help to feel depress at times coz we still did'nt have NOA2...

Hello MayandTim. We did our paperwork ourselves. I haven't read anywhere that having someone else prepare them will get anything done faster. In fact, if you have to send paperwork to the preparer and then they turn around and submit them, it can take longer. Not to mention the more mail involved, the easier to get things lost.

The only exception is if there have been problems with a visa or something else involving USCIS in the past. Then an immigration lawyer may be appropriate.

I'm really getting irritated that they're working so far into April and still have so many of our March family left behind. I realize anything I say will be of little consequence to you all - but you're in our thoughts and prayers. I believe the exchange between Missy and Richard is correct - it's totally the luck of the draw and depends on who gets your box. I also agree with another post by Richard that it sounds like they are approving April heavily in order to skew the overall approval timeframe and to make themselves appear as though they are taking less time than they actually are.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Ok... so here ya go...

Spoke to a very polite young woman by the name of Chastity... how could not provide ANY info... other than what is on the website and refused to put in a service request since they are currently processing March 5th files. grrrrrrrrrrrr... Said ok... Chastity, please connect me to the an officer at the USCIS which she was reluctant but ultimately did do.

Spoke to an Officer at the USCIS who asked me for a bunch more information... pulled up the file and said that I was still inside the processing time line. I told this officer that according to the press release dated August 6th 2009, at 5 months 1 day that I was within my rights to submit a service request. The officer did not argue and filed a service request and gave me a referral number. After completing the referral, he said that it generally takes 2 weeks for a response and asked if there was anything else he could do. To which I said, sure, if you dont mind me venting.... I went over the appearance of all the April approvals, blah, blah, blah... he didn't have any insight as to why and said that the 5 month time line was in his opinion highly optimistic....

Bottom line... I got no real insight but was allowed to enter a service request.

I feel slightly better... but am not holding my breath..

Arabella... CALL them and do the same... :)

If it takes two weeks for a service request, surely you will have heard something before then, right???? Maybe it's time to start nagging the senators in your state again. This is the most frustrating and aggravating, ulcer causing experience EVER!!!

So does a file service request mean that within 2 weeks someone will look at your file? I guess then I should call because if I don't in 2 weeks I'll be kicking myself. Do you have a link to the August 6th press release?

Maybe I was wrong.... maybe you should grow some :P

Our elected officials are there to help... please do not feel intimidated at all... most if not all have an immigration specialist and their job is to help you.... and at least mine has been very easy to talk with and more or less helpful... .

LOL, probably not... it means that in 2 weeks I will get an email saying... I am still within normal processing time :)
