money is not really ok w/ us. we are being very careful right now until i start working so i guess that is whats hard about trying to do anything. but i agree w/ you w/ the cooking. i have learned so many recipes from my MIL and used my cookbook and my MIL's rachel ray magazines. my lighbulb always lights up when it comes to cooking. i love it.

i should get back w/ video games. I cant play Wow. the last game i played was FF (final fantasy) and that ate up my whole life haha. i had a bad case of playing in the room i called dungeon. Plus when i lived at home, my brother played Wow allllll the time. its scary picture when he comes home from work, play and go to sleep for 3 hours and do it all over again. lol. i do have rpg games i bought and never even played yet so i guess ill start with that.

small vent . . . we have been hoping to have a garage sale when the community does their big community garage sale (take advantage of more people and more advertisements). So, they just sent out the email today that the Community Garage sale is Saturday - the day after tomorrow! Yipes - that means we have to work like crazy over the next day to get everything marked and the signs made up and then stuff set up for Saturday. What type of planning is that? It never even showed up in the Community calendar until today. We can do it - we had plans to meet friends to go to a local Geranium Festival on Saturday but will have to cancel those. I mean really, is this last minute or what! Someone must have known at least a week ago that they were planning the community garage sale for this Saturday and could have let us know then?

Ok - off to the dentist, then back to the garage for more organizing and cleaning and locating of stuff set aside for the garage sale.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I just overheard one of our members talking about how their kids want to go to the circus tonight and they don't want to bring them because it's "Filfthy and the people are disgusting, and you'll probably walk out with a million diseases"

The circus? Really? I don't know what kind of circuses they've been going to. :P

I think I'm going to hurl!! My supervisor just walked in here and seen these tickets to a comedy show sitting on my desk. He asked me who they were for, so I told him...next thing I know he picks up the tickets, rubs them on his nipples and crotch, then puts them back on my desk and leaves.

I had to move my pop over to the other side of my desk so that it's nowhere in the vacinity of these now contaminated tickets. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to pass these tickets to the winner without touching them.

Who the heck even does something like that anyways?!

And this just got me thinking!!! This morning, he brought me a cupcake because I was stuck at my desk, and couldn't get to the bake sale. Luckily, I'm on a diet, and chucked it promptly into the trash after he left. But a week ago he brought me pizza from upstairs, which I did eat without a second thought. Who knows sorts of things he did to that pizza...

If I don't post tomorrow, it means I died from Mad Cow disease or some other freak of nature food related incident :(

Well, so far they've laid off 5 people today at my husband's place of employment.... They seem to be doing it by seniority and he's been there 5 years, so we'll see.... at least he's OK for now anyway, I think.

That has to be one of the most strangest comments I have ever read. Ya, don't shake his hands and don't eat any food he offers you.

The circus? Really? I don't know what kind of circuses they've been going to. :P

Flea circus? Fleas carry the plague.

That must be scary Jill. My fingers are crossed for you!! I'm sure everything will be alright. Tough economy eh? I'm not looking forward to entering the US job market at the end of this year... It may be interesting to find a job.
