The package my fiance sent already got there according to auspost but they say they haven't received it. They told me it could take an additional three business days for them to receive it... is this what you are experiencing?

Email is the best & quickest way to contact them.

Did they provide you with one to contact them on?

No, I didnt get anything that had an email address.. the only one I have found is the one online and it says something about it taking them a couple weeks to respond ... so Im not sure how to contact them apart from phone calls and at $3 a minute I really cant afford that, not for an inquiry were they cant give me a definate answer....

I dont think its a case of they havent received it ... I tracked mine and I even got a name of the person who signed for it (from Aussie Post) Peter something or other .... it would then have to be taken to wherever then they would need to pull it apart .. then sent off to wherever to get processed then sent off to whoever makes appointments ...

I just hope they schedule from date they received and not from the day they finally get around to opening it ... If we get an interview at the end of the month or first week of April everything will be sweet but if it goes past that date then were really pushing things ....

I havent received an interview date yet either ... they received and signed for the Pack 3 package on the 2nd and its now the 11th ... at this rate I dont think we're going to be able to get married on the 2nd of May like we had hoped ... Well the mailmans been already soo todays out, gawd I hope I get it by Friday!

Whats the best way to contact them? the only number I found is the one they charge $3 minute seriously cant afford that! all the cashola is going into things like UMMM airline tickets and getting ready for the move...

Have the US Citizen call the State Department. They will be able to tell you if an interview has been entered into the system.

LOL! yep thats what I meant... the papers got there because the post told us they delivered it BUT whe I sent the e-mail to the consulate they said it could take an additional three days to clear secuirty checks for them to get the actual package... UGH! sometimes exhausting! So far, it's been 4 days today, so I'll contact them AGAIN tomorrow and I hope they have received it by tomorrow, friday!

I sent the embassy an email earlier and got the following as a reply ... who knows how long it takes for things to be reviewed ...

Thank you for your inquiry.

Our records indicate your documents were received on March 3. They are currently under review. Once the review is complete, you will be contacted with an appointment date.

Thanks guys ... I just feel ill at the moment ... is REVIEW standard wording or is there a problem? Im so worried at the moment were hitting the 2 year anniversary of the last time we saw each other and my lease is running out in 2 days and my dumb real estate hasnt got back to me about a short term lease ... at this rate I wont have anywhere to live and I doubt we'll be able to get married on the 2nd May ... I just feel upset and sick

Our records indicate your documents have been received. This process may take up to 14 working days. Once a full review has been completed, we will contact you for scheduling.

A week after that email I got my interview date. Yours will come soon I promise

Thanks Kaffy {{{HUGZ}}} that makes me feel a whole lot better .... I can stay with my mum but Im leaving it to the last few days ... I get on well with her husband but his very difficult and I rather not get into any arguements before I leave ...

They've already set rules like cant be on the phone long periods of time ... no internet (because will hold up phone lines) and other bits and pieces soo the best thing is for me to stay here ... I dont think Ill have any probs with the real estate because Ive been here 3.5 years and Ive never had a complaint put against me and have never been late on rent ...

I think Ill be ok .. Im just feeling emotional at the moment I think .. Shay will be calling very soon, he usually snaps me out of moods like this ...

Cham, someone was really nice and gave me the number at the K1 forums and I was able to find the page .... the DOS contact page is http://travel.state.gov/about/info/info_308.html .... The number we need is 202-663-1225 .... keep us posted, were only a handful of days apart so cross fingers we'll get results around the same time ...
