Wait? The cops mistake was checking the (lesser) speed limit violation box instead of the one that says HOLY SHT STRAIGHT TO JAIL box that going 22 mph over the limit tends to get? Or the error was writing down 62 instead of 52 (which fits the box)? If you were actually going 62 then you pretty much have to bend over and take it, a small paperwork error won't save you, but if it was the other way yeah, I hope you don't get tagged for being 22 mph over the limit, in most states there is a point where it becomes a felony and all around more serious... and 22 is probably well over it (12 might even be but I don't know).

Fred: Cases get transfered (in theory) on the basis that everything required is clearly there. I suspect in your case because you naturalized (or at least was not born a US Citizen) you probably got put into the needs interview pile. I think they operate on the assumption that everything goes into the CSC pile by default unless they see something of question or something is clearly missing, in your case your story is pretty unique and might even be too close to 'introduced by family' (which might even be the case but hardly matters after having known each other so long and gone to school together etc). It seems like 80% of K-1's go to CSC, at least when they file the AOS in the first year (and as always preferably in the first 3 months), but I'm basing that on a very small number of filers, timelines and behavior at USCIS obviously change all the time, it really could just be a coin toss (and I think some of the time it almost definitely is... a random screening etc).

You are such a smart guy Maliciant, thanks for your advice!.

Life is good with hubby and ourlittle girl, the only bad part is that we are working hard and don't spend too much time together as we would like.

Plus the other day a fkn police cop gave me a speeding ticket and the mfkrs take you to court you cannot just pay the damn thing!, now I 've been to court twice because prosecutor told me to plead not guilty because the offcier made a mistake, he cannot add, he put I was going 62 mph on a 40mph, and marked exceed box of 10-14 what an idiot!, so now I will have to wait for a last court apperance to face the fkn cop!.

I've heard they never lose its my word against his, I wil be stuck with at least $360 fine. Darn it! it really pisses me off, you have to drive like an idiot in this State I am thinking about moving to Germany :P

That sucks, I hope it goes well in court. Let us know what happens.

Mara, the wedding looked really pretty. :)

Fred, our AOS got transferred to CA too. I hear most UK cases do, and I think it usually means no interview. That would be very nice, so I'm telling myself that (hopefully) now I've done the biometrics, I just have to sit back and relax with the immigration stuff for almost 2 years.:)

PS - first snow of the year last night.

YESSSSSSSSSS I GOT IT I GOT IT!!!! A HEART!!!!!!!!! FINALLY YUUUPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!:dance:

I think the cop was trying to give you a break (aka a lower ticket fee). They do that quite frequently on speeding tickets, and it's a nicest gesture you can get next to "no ticket".

You're not paying that prosecutor, are you? :)

Hey all, just a note on how things are (Gemmie Im jealous of the new bed)

We got married last Saturday which was lovely, the weather held out for us which was nice and my father in law pulled out all the stops with flowers champagne dinner and a cake, it was very sweet of them. Everyone has been supportive of our decision, and we plan to renew our vows and have our reception in Australia next year, which everyone (particularly Chris' family) is very excited about.

We start the visa process again this week, just waiting on our marriage certificate and some affidavits to put in the package from family hopefully it will all go smoothly and at the start of next year we will finally be together properly.

Hope everyone is well :)

Congrats Chris and Mara :) :) :)

Congrats Dani. :)

I hope to join you soon. Our case is being touched everyday which we hope is a good thing.

I'm feeling lonely today as hubby is away for 14 hours a day sometimes from 8am-10pm (working 2 jobs) and I'm out in the country by myself all day. Going slightly mad. Today I'm watching old movies and painting, waiting for him to get home so I can have some cuddles. But of course then he's just going to pass out from exhaustion. Thank God the weekend is here.
