I hired a lawyer to file for my fiance's k1 visa because I was really nervous. Now I think he is just sending me big bills for nothing. I think we could this on our own. Is it difficult to fire him and change all this with the processing center? Will it slow things down for us? Because if it will, I would prefer to just keep paying him! Our papers were received on 01-22-09.

just answered you in the other thread.

The only document you will need to be certain you get is the NOA2 / I-797 as this will be needed when it's time for AOS.

Chances are the address might not be changed at the uscis but you can try.

Yes you can .............I fired mine after 6 months of nothing and did it myself and approved in 78 days after NOA1

You can fire him any time you want. Go to his office, get your documents and tell him he's fired.
