Thought HAL 9000 was already obsoleted by Windows Vista, can you actually run Vista based programs? Or do you need a new processor?

The effects of global warming are more significant than global warming itself, like leaving everything else the same and paying a carbon tax. Especially to third world countries. More of our money leaving this country.

And still the issue of natural or man made global warming and exactly what that ratio is. Can't sue nature, but sure in the hell can sue man.

Why would I run Vista on my Heuristic programming? That would be like using quicksand on a concrete sidewalk.

The political effects you mean. And its not exactly a ratio per se... rather a combinatorial thing. Not something you can dissociate from the other very easily given the effects occur within the same physical parameters.

Was referring to a NASA report where the Antarctica temperature was said to rise from -88.9*C to -88.0*C over the last 50 years. Could that be +/- 1*C? But if the politicians want to make an issue out of global warming, let it be, just no new taxes, but technology to solve these problems, the outcome would be the same regardless of the claimed cause. Purer air and water, less imports of oil that is really causing us severe problems in both trade deficits and wars. Less transportation of goods that were once locally made, something in the order of over 13,000 container ships today and any other factors, but too late to discuss those. Good night.

Not really. Since 2001, 8 years have come and gone with 8 years of weather averages being taken. So the statistics can be fit along that yearly weather data to make fools think they are talking about climate and its change.

Darn that is COLD. Antartica. Hmmm. That settles it.

What is 1 degree C? Not much? Well... guess what? Its plenty- even for an average temperature taken over 50 years. A 50 year times span is a pittance compared to geological time, where climate tends to be calculated. So that that 1degree C rise over a longer term time span, like actual scientists do to measure climate, and you get a little different picture.

Curiously, in those last 50 years, how much ice has come off of Antartica faster than the natural melt rate for ice melting? You might google that and see an interesting rate increase of ice shelf breakage compared to the 10,000 natural melt cycle...
