I was going to post this in the travel forum. But I did not want to stick up the place.

What will the airlines think of next?

The guy says that people will have to “spend a pound to spend a penny” which I guess is a euphemism for “pinching a loaf” or “water the parrot” or something like that. To me, it’s merely natural that airlines, or any business for that matter, to want to maximize revenues, so I’m not hating on Ryanair. I call their new plan a “Pay Per Poop” program.

I don’t know what the law is as far as providing toilet facilities for the public, and I really don’t care what the law says. What I wonder is how much money will Ryanair really save from not having to clean the restrooms? How much revenue do they really think they can make from this deal? What other value added services can they bundle in?

What I bet is happening, is that American Airlines, Continental and why not Southwest Airlines are all chomping at the bit to see what happens. Either that, or they’re slapping themselves in the forehead wondering why didn’t they think of charging to use the toilet on board first.

What they should really do, is have a bed up there and charge for people that want to join the mile high club. I bet they’d get tons of revenue from that. Oy.

For short-haul flights of the type that Ryanair specialise in, I can see them getting away with it. For long-haul trips, transatlantic flights, transpacific flights and other intercontinental flights, I can see a few problems.

How long will it be before some brave soul defecates in Cattle Class to make a point, I wonder? Or lets their kid do it for them? :protest:

Well, what are the penalties for pooping in your seat?

Speaking of penalties, I farted on a flight back from Cambodia the other time. I did this while sleeping. It was funny. Everyone was asleep because the lights were out in the cabin with blankets on people. It was smelly, and stink up the whole cabin. The attendent didn't know who did it, but, he pinched his nose and sprayed the entire cabin with room spray. I pretend I was asleep.
