Why do you think you would need an attorney?

Not really.

But in the future......when I petition my siblings (next), or whenever, I'll probably seek an immigration lawyer's advice.

"Me and lawyer combo." Like delegation.......Like a team.....

But I'll wait till I have a budget.

Petitioning famiy members is very time-consuming.

Separate petitions for each.

It would be nice to relax and have someone assist me with the paperworks........

Hi PW...

My interview went well, we passed. Please update the list for me. We were asked alot of questions, and we had the African American guy. He read a lots of emails and letters and birthday cards we had sent to each other. Here are a few questions:

(1) Where did you meet?, (2) Why do you want to marry and dont say it is because you love her?, (3) how many sisters and brothers we had? (4) My mother's name and father's. (5) Where did I work?, (6) Have he purchased a ring and if so where is the reciept? (7), When will the wedding be?, (8) How many times have we met and when did I arrive in the Philippines for the interview? (9) What is the name of my son and what did he do for a living? (10), What city was I born in? (11), When was my birthday?, (12) What was the name of my bank? This is just some of the questions, it was a lot more. We were with him for almost 15 to 20 mins.

Also note: When we arrived there at 5 am. This woman approached me and said to me how happy she was to see someone else from Chicago. I thought that was strange because how did she know I was from Chicago? So we talked for a little and she asked many questions at 5 am. Then she asked me if I was there for a K-1 visa and I replied, yes and you? She said she was also there for K-1 visa. So, she finaly left and we went to check with the guard to see if we can start to get in line for our 7 am appointment. Once we were inside, I kept looking for this lady and we never saw her again until we were leaving (11:15am). She was working at the Delbros p/u window outside. I wonder why she pretend to be from Chicago and ask me so many questions? I think she thought we were faking our relationship.

Also note to the airport tax has changed to 750 pecsos. I went with 550 pecsos and did not have enough so I just gave here $7.00 US dollars and she let me went thru.

Oh geez. The infamous ring receipt question. Now I'm freaking out. I didn't keep our receipt and I shred all my credit card statements. Oh well not much we can do about that now. Congrats on your approval.

I used an attorney aka paid his "Country Club Dues!" lol................... It is helpful to use an attorney, but basically all they do is review the documents that you complete, offer guidance and in the event that you have a problem they will eliminate the obstacles. They are not cheap, that is a fact.

Hi! I didnt use the service of Atty Michael Gurfinkel but I know for a fact that his a really good immigration lawyer. And he charge like 7x more than the average immigration lawyer.

Do anyone know of a flight that has no transfers for one-way from the Philippines to Chicago?

Rate do not matter, I get 75% of travel for None-Rev flights, but I don't know which Airline to use without having my fiance' to change planes.

Also, can we put Chicago as his POE if this will be his first touch down on American soil or the place he has to change planes?

We'll be at PRISM for the 10 am session on Monday. We plan to be there around 8-8:30 am. I'm flying to Manila tomorrow to be finally reunited with my asawa. I won't be allowed in for the sessions, but I'll be hanging around until she's finished, then hopefully we'll have time to scoot off to CFO for the stamp.

Congrats w1n78...we had quite a bit of trouble with Delbros delivery, no texting either. She was staying in Taguig (metro Manila) with her brother after her interview and no one knew who she was, so the first attempt was unsuccessful. She finally was able to call Delbros repeatedly the next day and made arrangements to meet the messenger at the city hall. She waited a very long time and almost gave up then finally late in the afternoon he arrives. I'm heading over tomorrow for our long awaited reunion. I can't believe the day has come!!! Good luck.

What does the bank give out as proof? Is it just a receipt?
