I am a permanent resident here in America,I have a job and my husband is a US Citizen his workin too,. What are the documents needed for filing the visa? What are the steps? Well file any affidavit of support to make it possible... My parents have propeties, bank accounts or any other proof/evidence that they will be back home after the visit. How long will the visitors visa's expire? What are the other important things to do in this matter?

Any other suggestions please.

Thanks!

they will have to file forms DS-156 and DS-157 NON-IMMIGRANT VISA FORMS and bring it with them to the interview. they need 2(2x2) passport photos each and a $135 processing fee paid in advance, this fee is non refundable wether you do or do not receive the visa. to provide travel details, departure and return dates, destination in the USA.

to provide Police records, birth certificates, property ownership, employment status.

when your parent call the embassy/consulate to inquire about the visitor visa the operator will let them know how to go about making the visa interview appointment.

good luck.

YOu can file B1/B2 visa. You or your husband is just the main contact here in the US. You dont need to send support paper. Your parents could have 10 year multiple entry. Normal length of stay in the US is 3 or 6 months for B1/B2. Goodluck.

My mom just applied her B1/B2 visa last January 09. She was approved.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I had this same question. I am a US Citizen who wants to bring his wife's parents to the US for a visit (from Mexico). My father inlaw does have the house in his name, a bank account in his name with a signifigant amount of money in it. They do have 7 other children in Mexico. They are retired so don't work now. My father in law does get retirement.

What other ways are there to prove you will return? What I have listed is:

Deed to the Property

Bank Statement

Retirement Statement

Phone Bill

Pictures of their 7 kids and 15 grand kids in Mexico.

Police records

Any one have other suggestions?

Any thoughts on how to obtain police records in Mexico?

I too have the same questions. My mom is a home maker and I want to bring her and my little sister to visit my husband and I for a month.

All my mom has to prove income is my step dad's financial information (he's retired). As for evidence of going back... my little sister is in PK, my brother and her husband will be staying in Brazil... plus a document she has as she is my power of attorney in Brazil (I left all my stuff car, house etc for her to take care of and use it) so she really needs to return.

Conditions lifted 10 yr GC in hands since Feb. 2011!

...onto researching and studying to become a U.S Citizen.
