I am assuming the email address they use will be the one I put on the I-129f? Will I get an email of the NOA 1 before the hardcopy comes in the mail? How will they get my fiancees email address?

No - not sure what (if anything) they use the email address put on the I-129f for but have never heard of anyone getting an email because of this. Once you have your first NOA (NOA1/Notice of Action) you can use your receipt number to create a portfolio on the USCIS web site though.

You will (possibly) get emails if you register for an account on CRIS, the information system at the USCIS web site. That will require an email address.

You'll only get email if you register for email updates on their case tracking page, AFTER you receive the NOA1 in the mail.

Thanks. Can I add more than one emaill address when I register? So we can receive any email updates together. I have no number yet, as I am waiting for NOA 1.

The email my fiance (the petitioner) used on the I-129f, kept being an answer to one of the two questions they'd ask me every time I called NVC to ask about our case status during AP.

I don't know, but you can probably create two accounts and both add the same case to your portfolio. Anyone have experience with this?

A side note: if you have a gmail account, you can set it up to automatically forward the mail to a second address. You can even set up a filter so it only forwards certain emails.
