How much do you pay per month in Medical insurance premiums? (for a family)

hmmm so i am new here.... wife has some insurance thats kind of ####### as they pay 70% and rest out of pocket. I am really scared about all these as in India I used to pay Rs.300( $6) after every 3 months. That used to cover 100% medical, prescriptions, surgeries etc. I just had to pay the doctor fees in ordinary visits.... So is there any insurance plan that pays 100 % of all with around with cheap payments ?? try to look into blue shield..... most of my relatives here goes to India in case they need any kind of surgery.... my cousin went back to india regarding a dental surgery ...

Self-employed, yes, if you cannot get on a discounted plan through your spouse's employer.

I read somewhere that after a certain amount and depending on what you earned for the year you can claim medical expenses in your taxes. Something like $3400 in expenses if you make less than $36,500.

I pay $34 weekly for my baby and me and I have dental also included. The co-pay is $20 per visit and the deductible is $150. There are some procedures of course that my plan doesn't cover.

correct, nessa and i itemized last year and got a tax deduction for medical expenses, however, it has to be a certain percentage of your income or higher.
