It can be a busy POE dependant on time of day... You can "click" on POE on the top of the page and retrieve reviews of ORD POE

Ok thanks, that was a great help, i just read a recent post, late last year, that someone had their passport stamped with a work and travel authorization stamp. do they still issue these stamps so that you can work as soon as you enter??? this one was valid up until the greencard arrived. If this is available, how do you obtain one of these stamps and do they issue these at Chicago O'Hare airport??

Thanks again

for a K-1, no such thing as a work "stamp" that is valid until GC arrives (it is only for 90 days)... and in addition, ORD is not known to issue the 90 day authorization either.

YMMV

I had no problems at Chicago. There was no line so I didn't have to wait. The guy just went through every page of my paperwork slowly (took about 10-15 mins in total) and then stamped them and my passport and that was it! I was told though that I would receive all my paperwork posted to me within 2 weeks... The guy obviously didn't know what he was talking about because I phoned immigration after 1 month to be told this was not true, that my paperwork goes straight into my case file for adjustment of status and not to me!! Hope you have a good experience too.
