IMPORTANT ADDRESS QUESTION

Okay so my fiance and I just got our NOA2 Thurs and we have not rec'd anything else. We know he will be receiving a package but the problem is, he has moved, but we have spoken to the new tenants and they will call us when it gets there. But after this one we want the packages to his current address. How do we change that? And what is in this package he will receive? Thanks!

Sorry, I cant tell you how to change the address .. Someone else with a bit more experience in this stuff will let you know Im sure ...

But after you get your NOA2 your fiance will get his pk3 in the mail ... it took me 3 weeks to get it after Shay got the NOA2 notification ....

I had to download all the papers ... but if your embassy is still sending the pack and dont require you to download it will contain several papers for your fiance to fill in .... it will also tell them its time for you to arrange your medical, police check ... at this point your fiance will also need the affidavid of support from you and all relivent papers like income tax etc...

All in all the letter I recieved says I need

DS-156 Nomimmigrant visa Application

DS-156k Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application

DS-230 Part 1 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration

DSL-1076 Application Statement for Rediness to be interviewed

Form l-134 Affidavid of support

Get your Police check

Get your Medical

Also - When you have everything ... youll need to mail in the stuff the letter says they need with the Statement of Readiness ... then Wait again for Interview date and time and list of next lot of instructions ...

First...stop waiting for anything from anyone, that is for attorneys that you pay thousands to! For us that do it ourself, we can go to the embassy website and download packet 3 and get started on the documents you will need for the interview. That is the packet you are "waiting" for. You could have downloaded it with the petition forms and been ready for your interview TODAY. Never wait for something to be mailed to you if you can download load it yourself. My wife has her greencard and STILL packet 3 has never been delivered to her address in Ukraine.

I have the same question. Glenda has moved since the application was submitted. Our case has been forwarded to Bogota and she is awaiting notification of receipt. Is there a way to make an address change to the embassey in Bogota? Also on another post someone mentioned you can download packet 3 and you don't have to wait for it to be sent from the embassey, anyone done this?

i downloaded all the pkt3 forms from the Embassy website...to this day i never received the 'official' pkt3 and we have already had the interview.

Change of address needs to be put in writing to the Embassy, perhaps you can email it to them?

Yes, I mentioned it. And I did it. I downloaded the Packet 3 at the same time I downloaded the I-129f form and was working on the interview documents at the same time. We were ready with our interview documents before the NOA2 arrived and the very day our case arrived in the consulate (or at least was in their "system") we made out interview date. NEVER wait for something to be sent to you. When I finished the interview documents I downloaded everything for the AOS and had all of that ready when she arrived. I had only to add our marriage license, and a copy of her visa and I-94. I already had the I-693 as she had that prepared at the medical exam before she arrived.

By the way, packet 3 has yet to be delivered to my wifes address in Ukraine and she has her green card already. Stop waiting...make you own dreams come true.

We emailed the consulate with my DIL's address change and they responded quickly and accurately. I believe they even sent out two packets. That was Bangkok. Check the Embassy's website for direction on contacting them.

So where can I download package 3? Doesn't my fiance have to get it first? You mean we can start without the package getting to him first? I'm confused! Thanks!

See at the top of the page .... where it says downloads ... click on that and then click on the link for k1 forms .... I also had to track down a DSL-1076 but I dont think everyone gets that form .... right next to downloads is another link thats says example forms ... look at those to because they give examples of how to fill out the forms ....

I dont think all embassys are sending out the Pk 3, the directions in my letter said to download them myself and providing links where each form could be downloaded ... the letter also included further directions about getting the physical and police check it provided links to info regarding those also ...

The person who is getting the visa issued to them fills out pack 3 forms ... but they will need the I-134 Affidavit of support before they can submitt it...

So I need to download and fill out? I am the US citizen? Or do I get him to fill these out? Our letter also said they would be sending it to him but based on what I read I am scared to wait!
