Joint taxes using SSN with my maiden name?

Hi guys,

Need some help :help: My husband and I want to file joint taxes together. My SSN still has my maiden name on it, filed my paperwork to USCIS with my married name. Can i use my maiden name on the tax forms or should i first change my SSN to my married name?

I think it would be best to change your SSN to married name & file taxes under that name to be consistent with what you filed with USCIS. Good Luck

All that matters is that the name you use when filing taxes matches your SSN record.
