vietbride,

I agree with candn's observations - you seem only concerned about getting a greencard and there are a lot of inconsistencies in your posted comments. Your posts do tend to indicate that you are not a sincere poster, but one who is playing games and trying to get people to respond in a certain way.

On the off chance that you are a sincere poster, I will state that VAWA is a serious process to address individuals who have been threatened and or harmed to the point that they fear for their or their family's safety if not their lives. They are already married and they are already in the US. These marriages have irrevocably broken apart. Your 'husband getting impatient over the phone because of delays with scheduling your interview and swearing at you is not a realistic ground to apply for VAWA - it may, however, be a good reason for you to consider divorce. You need documentation such as police reports, psychiatric evaluations indicating harmful reactions, eye-witness accounts of physical, emotional or psychological abuse. Yelling at you over the phone while you are in another country and he is in the US does not count.

I would also suggest that you consult with a lawyer for further information if you choose to pursue this particular immigration path. . It is a violation of the Terms of Service for Visa Journey to assist someone in undertaking fraudulent or illegal use of the immigration process. Asking for help for a VAWA claim in the circumstances you have described - even with the various discrepancies - would be a TOS violation.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hi Tuckahoe,

Interview by myself: February 9, 2010

The Sent me notice that they need Proof that I submitted VAWA On March 17, 2010...

Last day to file Vawa: April 17,2010....

I filed Vawa April 8, 2010

I hope that helps...

Tuna, I see. Thank you. Based on your timeline, it looks like you filed a 485 a SECOND time along with 360. Did the local office close your FIRST 485? I am just trying to make a decision of whether I should file 360/485/765 together or just the 360. Thanks a bunch.

Victoryismine - CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am very happy for you now that you are free and victory is truly yours :)

Tuchahoe8 - GOOD LUCK!!! What you described sounds rough... no one should have to go through that and you certainly appear to have a strong case.

Manu - GOOD LUCK on your interview!!! I am sure everything will go well. You and your kidos certainly deserve the peace of mind and the ability live a happy life without any abuse.

Vietbride - Based on all the observations, you are a disgrace and the reason for everybody else's delay. Thanks to people like you genuine people have to suffer the consequences. Please fear your bad actions as they will get you nowhere. Not getting along and greed is not what VAWA is about. It is for people who are truly abused and are suffering due to their abusive spouses. They need relief from this torture and a chance to live their lives without the abuse.

As for everybody else on the forum - Good Luck with your process if your case is genuine!

Take care,

Colours

Colours, Thanks. Congratulations on your speedy approval, you deserve it.

These abuses are very hard for me emotionally. I originally think it is going to be for life but my spouse turned out to be impulsive and crazy (act nice in front of people though). Up to now I still have bad dreams.

To All: I have a question about how to get letters/e-mails translated for 360. Do I have to pay a translator for the service? I have a recording of my spouse threatening to destroy my things and kill me. I want to transcribe it to English. Can I ask a friend to do it? Thanks in advance.

tuckahoe8 - i cannot be certain of this but i think you transcipts have to be legally notarized from what i know. i say this based on one of the individuals i met a few months ago who had the same problem and all the more worse could not speak english.it could turn out to be a expensive thing but i guess its a requirement for uscis to assess what you submit.

i am sure others in forum could give you more concrete or a second opinion on this. GLuck

On those who are pouncing on vietbride, i am not taking sides or stating vietbride is right or wrong but i think its tough to judge by that one post. i havent read the other forum posts of vietbride besides the one on this forum, so i could be completly wrong.

But from the one post i read here, it appears that vietbride has a problem in conveying what exactly needs to be said in the right way and a lot depends on culture too.English is a huge problem for most like me who are from other countries where english is not the primary medium of speech. We dont know how to say things in the right way which further compounds the issues in filing VAWA.we try to translate word to word from our native language to english and end up presenting something unreal/gibberish or something which makes no sense.

That said, i am not giving any suggestions or opinions on what vietbride can or cannot do, since most here feel she doesnt seem to have a geninue vawa case.i am going to stick with the rest of the forum members atleast for now.

Anonymous, Thanks. Preparing 360 is almost like re-living it, it is hard for me emotionally. I wish I could get over with it soon.
