Sorry I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the answer.

What happens with the AP documents when I travel? It this correct: they stamp both and keep one copy? I only need the one copy for any other trips.

Do they look at the AP when I am returning to the US from Canada or when I enter Canada?

Thank you!

Stamp one and keep, and you keep the other.

It is used on entry to the USA.

Who is the they you are referring to when you enter Canada?

AP is required for re-entry into the USA.... not to leave it

YMMV
